Do Not Allow Your Barber to Pull Your Teeth

Dental Discount Plans are Gaining in Popularity, and Dentists Love it!
http://www.dentistryiq.com/etc/designs/default/0.gifThere are millions of Americans with some type of discount health plan cards.  The plans are rapidly increasing in popularity.  There are also health discount cards that can save people money on many of their health care needs. In this particular post, I am addressing only the Discount Dental Plan Cards.
There are many companies that offer Discount Dental Plans today at varying costs and with different discounts.  My company, Xpress Healthcare is growing their membership dramatically.  (We only operate in the USA.)  Xpress’ Dental Plan is only $19.95 per month/per FAMILY!   Several other discount benefits are included in the Dental Plan, but as I mentioned, I am writing only about Dental Plans right now.
More dentists are contracting with Discount Dental Plan companies every day.  There are two great benefits to the dentists if they accept discount cards.  1) They likely will gain more new patients; and 2) They are paid on the day of service.  Unlike with dental insurance, there are no claim forms to file, and it doesn’t take weeks for the dentist to get paid since plan members pay at the time of service.
Dental plans appeal to individuals, families and businesses, because they offer discounts on nearly all dental services, including cosmetic procedures, which are usually not covered by traditional dental insurance plans or Medicare. Procedures such as crowns, caps and veneers are often not covered at all by dental insurance, but if they are, the patient will still have to pay a large percentage of the cost out of pocket.
My husband and I both had dental procedures done last year.  With our Dental Discount Card, we saved about $1000 in 2013. The public is beginning to realize that the low monthly fee could easily be covered by their dental discounts even if they need only one procedure during the year.  If they have a family plan – at no additional fee with Xpress Healthcare – just getting their X-rays, cleaning and exams can pay for the cost of the membership – sometimes many times over.
Using Discount Dental Cards is simple.  Once a member joins (no one can be turned down), they will locate a dental provider in their area using an online list.  The member enters their zip code, and a list of dentists in that area will appear.  They decide upon a dentist, schedule an appointment and show their membership card at the dentist’s office to receive an immediate discount.  Xpress Healthcare and some other companies use the Aetna Dental provider network, so you know there are plenty from which to choose.
The percentage of discounts may vary based upon the member’s location and what treatment they receive.  In general, discounts range from 15% to 50% of the dentist’s usual and customary rate (UCR).
Over the years, those using the discount plans have grown from only individuals and families to small businesses, large organizations, labor unions, colleges and more to reduce the ever-increasing costs and to maintain satisfied employees.
The Affordable Care Act (and Medicare) does not require adult dental care, so “Obamacare” does not change anything when it comes to adult dental treatment for most people.  In some States adult dental care is included in their insurance, but not for the vast majority.
Uninsured adults can, of course, choose to purchase a dental insurance policy; however, dental insurance is expensive and has many limitations as to what it covers.
Any dentist will tell you that dental health care is vital to good overall health.  In fact, tooth decay is one of the most widespread diseases in the country.  Using Discount Dental Plans, patients who have neglected their teeth can receive treatment and learn good dental habits.
I’m sure you can see that it is a win-win situation for both plan members and dentists who accept Discount Dental Plans.
Discount Plans are NOT insurance. They provide discounts at providers within their contracted network.  The plans make no payments to providers.

The Day of the Discount Plan

I recently read two articles that were really interesting that demonstrate the continued, and in fact, increasing need for Discount Health Care plans.  One article was from the online magazine “LifeHealthPro,” a publication for insurance agents; and the other was from the online version of “The Wall Street Journal.”  These are both highly regarded publications.

Much of the information will come from those two articles.  You can read them in their entirety at http://www.lifehealthpro.com/2013/05/14/ammo-against-ppaca-medical-discount-cards   and http://blogs.wsj.com/cfo/2013/05/20/the-morning-ledger-employers-eye-bare-bones-health-plans/

With the upcoming health care reforms, more and more employers are turning to medical discount cards as a way to provide fair benefits to their employees without spending a fortune.  When the discount cards first were introduced decades ago, there was no regulation.  Eventually, the reputable companies selling discount benefit cards formed the Consumer Health Alliance to establish standards for the industry.

According to http://ConsumerHealthAlliance.com:  “Millions of consumers across the United States access discount health services offered through associations, senior organizations, educational groups, businesses, nonprofits, financial institutions, and unions among others. Entities currently offering discount health programs include" the following and many more.

Aetna                                           City of El Paso                     American Federation of State, County, Municipal Employees                                  Wells Fargo                          University of Pittsburgh Medical Center MA Plan
Compass Bank                            Bank of America                  American Legion Auxiliary
Citigroup                                      Civil Air Patrol                      National Association of Independent Truckers
E-Bay                                          Texas Farm Bureau             Guaranteed Trust Life Insurance
Gymboree                                   Yeshiva University               Health Insurance Plan of New York
Wachovia                                    Panera Bread                       Houston Independent School District
Prudential                                  SunTrust                            Texas State Teachers Association
Transamerica                              Trustmark Insurance          United American
Tricare                                                                                      Marine Corps Association
Urban Outfitters                                                                        Sears Employee Federal Credit Union

The number of Health Insurance Agents selling Discount Health plans, in addition to traditional Health Insurance, is increasing dramatically.   As employers prepare for the full enactment of “Obamacare,” they are realizing that they can avoid penalties under the law by offering “bare-bones” insurance plans that may lack benefits such as hospital coverage, pre-natal care, surgery or X-rays.

Because so many people will have these “better-than-nothing” insurance plans, the much more affordable Discount Health plans can fill the gap, offering great discounts on those benefits not provided by their health insurance.

I am in the right business at the right time.  As an Affiliate Business Owner with Xpress Healthcare, I am privileged to be able to help those who have no insurance or whose employers offer them only minimal benefits.  Since the four plans we offer cover a variety of different benefits and are priced between $19.95 per immediate family to $49.90 per immediate family, nearly everyone can afford them.

What's Up Doc?

I am so excited!  I knew it was coming, but this morning, Ed Pettola, one of the Founders of Xpress Healthcare phoned me to tell me that TelaDoc has been approved by the State to be included in our benefit plans!  I had suggested TelaDoc to him several months ago, and as usual, our corporate office pays attention to what their Affiliate Business Owners say.

We have so many fabulous benefits already included in our four different discount plans, and this new one is a winner!  I love the thought that if your child gets sick at 1 in the morning, instead of packing him up and taking him to an emergency room, you can call and get advice, even prescriptions, from a doctor licensed in your own State.

Or, what if you get a rash on Sunday afternoon that is itching like crazy?  Again, you can call TelaDoc, describe the problem, and a doctor can call a prescription into your local pharmacy for pickup.

This service is accessible to Xpress members at no cost!  Some companies charge their members an extra fee to use TelaDoc’s service.  We will not!  It will be included in our Premium Plus benefit package at the current cost of $29.95 per month PER FAMILY!

Xpress will launch TelaDoc within the next few days, as soon as our websites are updated.  A couple other changes are being made to our plans as well, and I know they will be a big hit with our members.

Rather than explaining more about how the program works, here is part of what it says on the TelaDoc website.
**************************
24/7/365 access to a doctor online or by phone.
Fast treatment. TelaDoc doctors respond within 22 minutes, on average.
Talk to a TelaDoc doctor from anywhere: at home, work, or while traveling.
Save money by avoiding expensive urgent care or ER visits.
When you need care now!
If you’re considering the ER or urgent care center for non-emergency issues.
On vacation, on a business trip, or away from home.
For short-term prescription refills.
TelaDoc physicians can treat conditions like:  Cold and flu, Bronchitis, Respiratory infection, Sinus problems, Allergies, Urinary tract infection, Pediatric care, Poison ivy, and Pink eye.
**************************
We’ve had people ask us, “What will happen now with the new healthcare legislation?”  There is a huge place for our discount health and dental care products and our lifestyle benefits. Benefits such as Vision, Chiropractic, Dental, and other ancillaries - and possibly even Prescriptions are going to be among the first things to go when it comes to the mandatory health insurance plans. And health insurance policies will not include TelaDoc services, especially at no extra cost!

None of Xpress Healthcare’s plans are insurance; instead they can save you hundreds, possibly even thousands of dollars!  Our plans will supplement health insurance, not replace it.

I use my own Xpress Healthcare membership frequently, and it saved me several hundred dollars in 2012 alone!  Please take a look at our website (keeping in mind that there will be changes in the next couple days) to see the many ways our plans can help you too.  http://familyhealthdiscounts.biz

Team Work Makes the Dream Work

To succeed in network marketing, a strong sponsor is vital.  When anyone is ready to join a program, I highly recommend that they do lots of research to learn what team they want to join. Many people in the industry quit due to lack of support and training from their sponsor. More often than not, I believe it is the team member, not the sponsor’s fault. However, there are poor sponsors. I’ve worked with them myself.

For those seeking a new business opportunity, before joining any organization, perform research on the company itself, their product or service, the management team and potential sponsors.  If there is any doubt about any of them after completing a thorough search, seek another company.  It is important that a rep has good “chemistry” with their sponsor or they will not work well together.

When talking to a prospective sponsor, asking them a few questions may help to determine which team is the best fit.

1. What kind of support do you offer new team members?
2. Do you have successful team members now, or did you with other companies?
3. How is your team different from others in your company?
4. Do you host team training calls and/or offer one-on-one training?

Some companies place emphasis on the team leaders and ignore those who are not top producers. I worked with a company like that myself. The team leaders paid attention to those who were doing really well, not those who actually needed guidance and training.

The people who join strong teams within a company are generally the most successful. Without a sponsor with good leadership skills, reps may not receive the training and support necessary to reach their goals.

No team leader wants someone to join their team who needs their hand held every step of the way. However, there is a difference between a free loader who is dragging the whole team down and someone who needs guidance and a couple one-on-one training sessions to get their business up and running.

As a team leader myself, I know that “you can lead a horse to water…”  At the same time, I know that I must also provide my team with all the tools they need to succeed; I must spend some one-on-one time with them at the beginning and when changes take place within the company; and then I can leave it up to them to apply and put these tools and methods to good use.

It is the nature of the business that not all team members will do well, and many will quit before ever putting in any effort.  Methods that work with one company may not necessarily work with another.  I use methods that actually work with our program, and I teach my downline how to replicate them.

If I perform my job well, those team members who are dedicated to their business and determined to succeed will then teach their own teams to achieve even greater success for the team as a whole.

Expose Yourself!

Network marketing recruiting is a skill.  Anyone with the desire and dedication can learn this skill, even master it.  Are you prepared to improve your recruiting efforts producing the results you’ve been seeking?  Do you want to be a team leader?  Are you ready to begin harvesting the rewards of your time and effort?

Your websites and training can help you reach your goals, but when it comes right down to it, only YOU can perform the work it will take.  There are qualifications required to recruit team members, lead a team and build a successful business.

·        Among those skills is passion for your company, your products and your business opportunity.  If you don’t truly believe it, you can’t sell it.
·        Along with passion, a positive attitude is a must.  Both passion and a positive attitude are contagious.  Your prospects recognize these qualities, and oftentimes want what you have.
·        Persistence is necessary.  Whatever challenges arise, recruiting leaders persevere, finding solutions to problems and moving on.
·        Patience is huge with any network marketing company.  If you have reasonable expectations about how much you will earn and in what period of time you’ll earn it, you will not get discouraged.  Work your business as hard as you can, and in time, you’ll be earning money – possibly very good money.

We’ve all seen promotions on television for the Army, Navy or Air Force trying to recruit people into the military to serve their country.  In exchange for their service, they are offered benefits like a free college degree and world travel.

Those of us in network marketing are basically doing a similar thing.  We are marketing to people who want to start a home-based business and have the desire and willingness to make that happen.

Like the Army, your goal is to promote & publicize what you have to offer, in our case a business opportunity. You must introduce the potential benefits and advantages of joining your company and your team in particular.  Using flyers, brochures, business cards, online ads and forums, get the word out; hang your “open for business” sign anywhere you possibly can.  Your main job as a recruiter is to expose your prospects to your opportunity.  To do this, you want to drive people to your website using every means you can imagine.  You website should provide the information they need to determine whether or not your company is right for them  Once they have reviewed your site, you can answer their questions.  If people go to your website first, it will be unnecessary to do a full presentation to prospects.  Let them learn primarily from your website.

The name of the game is exposure.  Expose yourself!  In network marketing recruiting, the more people see you, the more likely it is that they will join your team.

Explore all the methods in which you can promote the business opportunity and get as much exposure as you can. You can use online and off-line techniques. Off-line you can advertise with flyers, brochures and business cards or by joining groups of like-minded people.

I highly encourage networkers to use social media marketing.  It is an extremely effective platform to advertise a network marketing opportunity.  Forums and blogs are not a quick way to build a team, but they are among the best.

Many people call blogs, social and network marketing relationship building.  The idea is to build relationships with others who participate in these mediums.  Let them know about you, but not by promoting your business. Gain one another’s trust. Once you get to know each other, oftentimes your newly acquired internet friends begin asking questions about your business or product.  If you help these new internet associates to promote their business, they likely will do the same for you.

You can also create and post videos on YouTube and other video sites to attract those looking for a business by driving them to your opportunity websites.

There are thousands of people searching for just the right opportunity.  If you want many of those people to join your team, you must let them know who you are and that you are seeking team members.  The best way to do so is by exposing yourself!
