Be Thankful

I read the following article and poem in a TOPS News Magazine (November 2012 issue).  The magazine said the author is unknown.  It is inspiring, and I’d like to share it with you.

*******************************

Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don’t know everything, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times, you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because the give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.  They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary, because it means you’ve made a difference,

I would like to challenge for all who read this to think about why you are thankful.  Make five categories – physical, emotional, spiritual, financial and social – and see how many reasons you can come up in each category with for being thankful.

I’m sure we all have many reasons why we are thankful.  Now, it’s time to discover yours!

If anyone would like to do so, once you’ve written out why you are thankful, share them, one-by-one on the IBOToolbox wall.
